Field Programs
We have a few programs in the works involving specific insects and their importance to the nearby and global communities.
The Ice Dragon Program will train glacier tour guides to teach visitors about the insect that lives on the ice and the importance of preserving the glaciers. Thousands of tourists will learn about the Ice Dragon every year and they will have the chance to strengthen their connection and place in nature.
Semillero is a program that focuses on inviting community members on excursions with intention to learn about nature and our place in it as humans. A science backpack containing field guides, stories, magnifying glasses and viewing boxes are some of the things that make the Semillero experience meaningful and most impactful.
Education/Classroom Materials
Donations will be used for educational materials for classrooms, live broadcasting to students around the world, materials for field trips with students.
We create collections, 3D/digital models and field guides for students and educators to use in the classroom and out in the field.
Species Discovery and Description
Discovery is a large part of what we do. New species of insects have been found in remote forests and road side ditches. There is always something there! Help us find, describe, and name insects for science records and general public knowledge.
General Operating Costs
Donations are needed for general operations including running the laboratory and office.
